- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, is soliciting offers under Request for Quotation No. W912BU-08-T-0002 for the overhaul and repair of 12 used Alco Diesel Engine water pumps for Alco 251C series engines used on board the Dredge McFarland. The Contractor shall completely disassemble, clean and inspect the pumps in preparation for overhaul. The pump casings shall be thoroughly cleaned and clearances measured for wear. Contractor shall then proceed to completely overhaul and re pair the water pumps. Worn parts that are normally replaced during an overhaul shall be changed out. In addition, some parts will be identified that must be replaced, regardless of condition at disassembly, with genuine Alco replacement parts. All parts are to be new. Any offer of remanufactured or rebuilt parts is unacceptable and will be denied. All parts provided shall be genuine Alco authorized OEM replacement parts. No aftermarket parts will be acceptable. Certification must be provided stating that all materials being supplied are genuine ALCO parts. This action will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. RFQ No. W912BU-08-T-0002 will be available on or about 24 October 2007. Solicitation documents, plans , and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDs) system webpage at https://www.fedteds.gov. Interested parties must register as a Vendor with FedTeDs before accessing the system. In order to register as a Vend or in FedTeDs, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system (http://www.ccr.gov). Interested offerors can access the data for this solicitation through the hyperlink established in the Federal Business Opportunities (Fed BizOpps) system (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) announcement, which will redirect to the solicitation-specific data in FedTeDs. Registration for updates to plans and specifications should be made on the FedBizOpps webpage for this solicitation. The FedTeDs s ystem does not allow for offerors to perform a search for solicitation data. All searches can be performed through the FedBizOpps system. Offers will be due on 30 October 2007 at 11:15 a.m. ET and can be faxed to 215-656-6798, ATTN: Linda M. Dobbs. Off erors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. Hard copies will not be available. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code is 333618 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. No other notification to firms f or this project will be made. All contractors must be registered in the DODs Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
