Questions please contact: Andrew O. Wallace, Project Officer (508) 233-6203 Andrew.o.wallace1@us.army.mil The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Program Manager  Special Operations Forces Survival Systems (PM-SSS) is requesting information regarding Vision Augmentation System (VAS) Helmet Mounting Interfaces for use and compatibility with all SOCOM helmets to include Modular Communications Integrated Helmet (MICH), and the Army Combat Helmet (ACH). The government requires any commercial information regarding VAS Mounts which are designed to accommodate either the standard three hole or one hol e option, and are environmentally hardened to resist impact and corrosion. VAS Mounts, and or accessories, will allow compatibility with the following Night Vision Goggles (NVGs): PVS 7D, 14, 15, 18, and ENVGs. Sources are encouraged to submit capabiliti es for Head Mounting Systems, as well as Ratchet Strap Mounting Systems. PM-SSS requests information regarding only Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) items in order to meet USSOCOM fielding needs. Information requested includes name/address/point of contact identification, description of facilities/equipment, manufacturing process, inspection capability, personnel, past experience to include proven monthly production capacity and/or potential capability; potential surge capability to meet expedited government requirements; possible partnering/teaming arrangements, cost, size of business (large or small), and list of products with specifications. . This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) , and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U. S. Government. The Government implies no intention or opportunity to acquire funding to support current or future development efforts. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicit ation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this survey or results of information submitted. Please submit your responses no later than 15NOV07.
