Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR RECORDS DECLASSIFICATION SERVICES. The Air Force Declassification Office (AFDO) requires records declassification services for FY 08. The requirement will have a 12-month base period and three (3) 12-month option periods for a total performance period of 48 months, if all options are exercised. This request is for planning purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposals, a Solicitation, or a Request for Quotes. The attached draft performance work statement (PWS) outlines the duties and responsibilities of the contractor in reviewing records for declassification in accordance with Executive Order 12958 for Classified National Security Information (NSI) and Public Laws 105-261 (Section 3161) and 106-65 (Section 3149) concerning the inadvertent release of Restricted Data and Formerly Restricted Data (RD/FRD). In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201 (e) this notice serves as a request for information. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any cost associated with the submission of the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred to interested parties for responses to this RFI. The purpose of this RFI is to receive feedback from industry in regard to the following and is in support of market research. The applicable NAICS code is 541611. Vendors are requested to provide detailed information demonstrating the work requirements identified below, as well as their qualifications, experience with similar projects, and past performance history. Respondents should provide a capability package not to exceed ten pages that addresses the follow: company name and address, size of business (e.g. HUB Zone, 8(a), Veterans Owned, Women-Owned, Minority Owned, and Large), GSA schedule holder and number, email, telephone number, points of contact, and CAGE code. All questions submitted will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. All communication will be posted through FedbBizOpps for this RFI. All packages must be submitted via email to the Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer no later than 12:00PM EST, 31 October 2007.
