****ATTENTION****FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO: Roland Carter, Contract Specialist. fax 256-842-0740, AMSAM-AC-TM-A, email roland.carter@us.army.mil. A new cost-plus-fixed-fee type of contract to provide eng ineering services that support the HYDRA-70 2.75 Rocket Systems M260 (Army Part Number: 13048750) and M261 (Army Part Number: 13048850) Launcher Program. This engineering service will provide the US Government with a responsive source capable of isolatin g and resolving problems related to the HYDRA-70 2.75 Rocket System M260 and M261 during production, fielding, and deployment of the system. This requirement will consist of a basic effort with three options, and it is restricted to Arnold Defense and El ectronics, LLC, Cage Code 3A2N7. Arnold Defense and Electronics, LLC is the single source processing the unique knowledge and expertise required to manage and update the particular design and performance characteristics of the HYDRA-70 2.75 Rocket Syste ms M260 and M261 Launchers and the tooling, test, and inspection equipment for the M260 and M261. As the producer, Arnold Defense and Electronics, LLC is the only source having the failure history data base, knowledge of the configuration, and unique tear down procedures to be able to promptly perform failure analysis and provide adequate and reliable corrective action reports required by the government. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that rec ognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under Qualification Procedures. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitat ion will not close prior to the date stated above. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. No telephone request will be accepted.
