SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL BE SENT OUT VIA FEDEX ON 7/16/07 ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT FOLLOWS: ADMINISTRATION WING MINI-MODIFICATION PACKAGE ALBUQUERQUE AIR ROUTE TRAFFIC CONTROL CENTER (ARTCC), ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO SOLICITATION DTFASW-07-R-00050 POINT OF CONTACT: CARLA BRAWLEY, CONTRACTING OFFICER, 817 222-4331 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified construction contractors interested in providing offers for the Administration Wing Mini-Modification Package at the ARTCC, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Work will consist of, but is not limited to relocation of personnel throughout the various phases of work; asbestos abatement; installation of automatic fire sprinkler system; replace (5) air handling units and approximately 80 fan coil units; clean kitchen air ducts; replace all existing lighting fixtures and power outlets; replace panel boards; provide new interior finishes as specified. All work shall be accomplished according to the plans and specifications that will be provided. 1. Contract performance time is 335 days. Work will be done in (3) phases as described in the drawings and specifications. 2. This construction project is being procured by full and open competition. 3. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220 and the small business size standard is $31 Million. 4. The dollar range for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $3,500,000.00 5. A mandatory (pre-bid) site visit will be conducted on August 7, 2007, 9:00 AM (local time), at the Albuquerque ARTCC conference room. All interested contractors must attend this site visit in order to qualify for contract award. 6. Contractor is expected to perform at least 15 % of the work utilizing the contractor's own employees. 7. Contractor MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before contract award. Contractors can register on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. 8. Contract awards with large businesses estimated to exceed $1,000,000 require subcontracting plans. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO GO CRITERIA: a. The contractor must have successfully completed similar projects both in dollar amount and scope, on a Life Safety Critical Facility such as a hospital or a similar FAA facility. b. The contractor must have delivered a quality product in the timeframe established by the contract. c. References, past performance The contractor must provide the name of the facility where work was performed, contract number, along with a point of contact at the facility and telephone number. This information MUST BE submitted with the request for specifications and plans. The Request for Offer Package is expected to be available on or before July 31, 2007. Contractors must submit their request for this package no later than 4:00 pm (CDT) by July 13, 2007. Contractors must provide their company name, physical mailing address, telephone number and FAX number and complete and submit the two attached documents: 1.
