Description

The US Geological Survey intends to award a noncompetitive purchase order to Elizabeth Barnett of Seattle, WA for nonpersonal services associated with logging and interpretation of geological research trenches. This is the only known source with the specialized skills, knowledge and expertise (experience in the field interpretation of geological units and familiarity with the subtle nature of interpreting evidence for folding found in trenches in northwest Washington state) who would not need conisderable training to become familiar with the project. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement to the Contracting Officer by e-mail only (rdonez@usgs.gov) by the response date indicated in this annoucement.
