- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) has a requirement to establish a maintenance parts and technical services program to support the Ship Information and Control System (SICS) installed on the National Security Cutter (NSC). The major components of the system include the Integrated Bridge System (IBS), Machinery Control and Monitoring System (MCMS) and Steering System. This will be an Other Than Full and Open Competition Requirement using the SICS Contract Vendor. All labor shall be performed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified and authorized machinists, mechanics and technicians. It is the Government belief that only Sperry Marine can furnish the desired services and parts for the NSC SICS and the only responsible source that can analyze all these components efficiently and expertly. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the above items are invited to submit complete information discussing the same in duplicate within 10 days of this announcement. Potential sources desiring to furnish other than OEM parts and services are required to submit the following information: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts and services, (i.e. salient physical, functional and serviceability characteristics); 2) Complete and current information on training and configuration control of the NSC SICS, (i.e. technical manuals, engineering changes and software). This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the proposal relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. This announcement is issued in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. No cost or pricing data is required. This is not a solicitation. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY.
