Description
The Government is seeking Business's interested in the following: "Fume Hood Inspection" Service shall consist of technical inspections, cleaning, oiling, adjusting, calibrating, replacing all parts (including dry batteries, UV Lamps, Hepa filters) without additional cost to the Government, and maintaining the equipment in first class operating condition, including all intervening calls necessary between regular inspections but excepting services necessitated by accident, fire, or abuse. Service shall further consist of decontamination of the cabinets, pre-filters and re-certification as required. Components to be repaired / replaced, which are in the contaminated portion of the cabinet, shall be decontaminated prior to component repair/replacement. Cabinet shall be re-certified should replacement of any component affect certification. Inspection and certification shall include: (A) Checking the Hepa filter integrity and integrity of filter to cabinet seals in accordance with the American Association for Contamination Control Tentative Standard for Laminar Flow Clean Air Devices CS-2T May 17, 1968 (B). Checking and adjusting the airflow. (C) Checking the remaining Hepa filter life. (D). Checking the UV lamps remission in the germicidal effective range 230 to 270 nm. (E). Check cabinet leakage test and other testing as may be desirable. Applicants must have at least FIVE YEAR OF SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE. Preferred if the applicant had provided same or similar services to other VA Medical Center throughout the United States. The applicant must also provide "REFERENCES" for providing same or similar Services. Firms desiring consideration shall email directly to the Contracting Officer referencing the following in the subject field, "Fume Hood Inspection", then contain the following information within the body of the e-mail name of firm, complete address, phone & fax number of contact.
