Description: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR COMMENT ON THE DRAFT NATIONAL PARK SERVICE (NPS) SERVICEWIDE FEE COLLECTION POINT OF SALE SYSTEM (POSS) REQUEST FOR PURPOSAL (RFP) WHICH WILL BE ATTACHED TO THIS NOTICE. At this time we are simply seeking industry comments on the requirements for this project that need further clarification, and/or are unrealistic, and add significant additional costs to this project. Furthermore, the NPS is seeking to identify any issues critical to the success of this requirement that are not addressed in this draft RFP. At this time the NPS will not be making an award from this announcement. The actual solicitation will be released once we have received industry comments and have had the chance to evaluate and incorporate any changes into the RFP. A paper solicitation package will not be issued. The work of this contract consists of providing all labor, equipment and materials to develop, implement, integrate, and support a SERVICE-WIDE fee collection Point-of-Sale System (POSS) that will allow National Park units to: Efficiently and securely collect a variety of different fees from park visitors, deposit collected monies into the Treasury and the Service's financial systems, maintaining complete accountability throughout, analyze fee-collection data to support program decision-making in accordance with the attached The NAICS codes for these services are 423420 Point of sale terminals merchant wholesalers and 541512 Computer systems integrator services. The performance period of the base period is for 1 base year and 4 option years. This solicitation is set aside exclusively for Small Businesses. Interested companies are encouraged to submit all questions/comments in regards to this draft RFP in a timely manor before the December 14, 2007, 4:00 PM MST closing.
