- Description
- NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) on or about November 1, 2007, to seek industry comments for a competitive solicitation for support services to Marshall?s Office of Center Operations. An industry briefing will be conducted on November 7, 2007, at MSFC in Huntsville, Alabama. Draft RFP Clause L.7, INDUSTRY BRIEFING AND SITE VISIT, contains information regarding the Industry Briefing. After the industry briefing and a comment period, a Final RFP (FRFP) will be issued. The deadline for questions and comments regarding the DRFP is November 9, 2007, 11:00 a.m., CST. This requirement is a follow-on to contract NAS8-03078, with EG&G Technical Services, Inc. The Contractor shall provide all resources, including labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, spare parts, incidental engineering, transportation, and management necessary to provide operations and maintenance of all MSFC facilities. The Government contemplates a Firm Fixed-Price type contract with indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity task orders issued to procure those services that cannot be predetermined or quantified in advance of contract award. The period of performance may be up to 5 years. It is anticipated that the base period of performance will be from July 1, 2008, through June 30, 2009, with four additional one-year option periods. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 561210 and $32,500,000, respectively. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the Final RFP is on or about November 21, 2007, with an anticipated offer due date of on or about December 20, 2007, 12:00 noon, CST. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/MSFC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=62 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
