- Description
- CORRECTION: This action published in the FBO on 20 April 2007 is amended as follows: In the first paragraph under "Description" delete the second through the fifth sentences and replace with the following: The primary purpose is to conduct subsurface investigations with subsequent geotechnical/foundation analysis- including monitoring, sampling and analysis of soil and groundwater for geotechnical properties and environmental contamination using various field and laboratory tests and construction or materials testing and engineering inspection services. On occasion, engineering services involving consultation on, or the inspection and evaluation of materials or site conditions during the design, the construction, or after construction (such as slope stability analysis, earthwork-related site improvements, foundations, concrete and bituminous pavements, etc.) will be required. The general intention is to provide for such engineering services as necessary to support the construction and maintenance of facilities. For the Government to retain maximum flexibility in the interest of their clients, various services/products, such as the preparation of technical reports, studies, engineering investigations, wetland delineation and mapping, cost estimates, surveys (property, topographic, hydrographic, etc.), shop drawing reviews, construction related consultation and inspection may be required. Typically consultant?s office or field travel time will be no greater than 7 days on a specific task order. Materials engineering consultation and inspection services will be negotiated on an as-needed basis and need not be by in-house consultants. At the beginning of the paragraph following the listing of Laboratory Accreditation Authorities insert - "1. ". All other information remains unchanged. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (03-MAY-2007).
