Description

This is a notice of a proposed contract action published to notify potential sources that The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS) contracting office intends to issue a sole source award to Johnson Controls for the maintenance and service of the NWRC facility's operating and controls system. The building's operating system is controlled by the Johnson Controls Metasys software. The contractor who performs this maintenance and service must have the licensing rights and access to the Metasys software. The buildings systems; smoke detectors, chillers, hot water and steam boilers, air conditioning, temperature control, fire alarms, valves etc. are all controlled by the Johnson Controls Metasys system which was installed in the building when it was constructed. The company performs regular maintenance of these systems and controllers, as well as occasional software upgrades. Without this maintenance and service agreement the building cannot be properly maintained.
