- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), has a requirement for animal hay and feed for the Animal Import/Export Center in Miami, Florida. A firm, fixed-price indefinite quantity indefinite delivery commercial supplies contract is anticipated for the purchase of the hay and feed. The contract will include a base year with the option to extend the effective period for one additional year. The effective date of the contract shall be October 20, 2007, or date of award, whichever is later. The annual requirements for feed and hay at the Animal Import/Export Center may vary; however, we estimate the following annual quantities: Timothy Hay - 263,000 lbs. lbs., Sweet Feed 100 - 3,800 lbs., Alfalfa Hay - 3,500 lbs., and Whole Oats - 145,000 lbs. The solicitation, AG-6395-S-07-0068, will be released as a Request for Quote at www.fedbizopps.gov on or about August 20, 2007 and will be a 100% small business set-aside; therefore, all responsible small businesses may submit an offer. The NAICS code is 424910 with a size standard of 100 employees. After release, one may download a copy of the solicitation at www.fedbizopps.gov. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFERER?S REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFERER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR UPDATES. Quotes shall be submitted to the contracting activity by the date and time indicated in the solicitation. All quotes shall have the solicitation number included in the offer.
