Sources Sought This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the PEO STRI Business Opportunities Portal (BOP) located at https://moss.peostri.army.mil/sites/bop/default.aspx . While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, the PEO STRI BOP is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by PEO STRI. Project Description: The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) is seeking sources for camera mounts to be used in Shoot Houses, Urban Assault Centers (UAC) and Combined Arms Combat Training Facilities (CACTF). The manufactured camera mount must adhere to the following criteria: It shall be sturdy enough to hold up a 75-lb, 1' x 2'6 x 3' rectangular, steel box. It shall be ballistic-protected. The bracket shall be mountable onto Dura block, wooden panels and/or e ither vulcanized or conventional rubber material. Environmentally, the material shall endure at low temperatures between -30 to -40 degrees Fahrenheit and as high as 110 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The material shall not degrade due to moisture and/or lea kage. Lastly, the bracket shall be easily mounted and dismounted without any special tools and/or equipment (See attachments for an engineering drawings & a photograph). The NAICS Code is 333319 with a size standard of 500 employees. This is a Sources Sought Notice / Draft Request for Proposals is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. PEO STRI requests information from industry on the capability of manufacturing camera mounts with the specifications listed above. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this announcement, if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisitions, a solicitation announcement will be published in the Federal Business Opportunities website for the respective projects. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRE NTLY AVAILABLE. All interested offerors will have the opportunity to respond to the solicitation announcements at a later time. This notice is to assist PEO STRI in determining potential sources and to obtain market research. This sources sought announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited.
