(Potential Offerors may request design drawings of the M9 ACE by contacting the contract specialist by email. The drawings are located on three (3)compact discs which will be mailed to you upon request which includes your physical address, POC and Phone number.) DESCRIPTION: Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), has a requirement to procure (18) modernized M9 ACE?s modernization kits and possibly hulls that are intended to exceed the capabilities of the existing system in the following areas: speed/stamina, reliability and maintainability, tractive effort, ballistic protection, driver vision, and self protection. The M9 ACE Modernization Program is currently in the Operations and Support phase of the acquisition cycle. The M9 ACE Required Operationally Capability (ROC) identifies the following Pre-Planned Product Improvement (P3I) requirements for the M9 ACE: power train, steering, suspension, environmental systems, tracks, increased ballistic protection (hardening), and increased combat support and, track-width mine plow, ripper attachment, multipurpose bucket, trencher, and weapons mount for the standard United States Marine Corps machine gun. The program will upgrade the Marine Corps M9 ACE to the Army?s fielded M9 ACE System Improvement Program ? 4 (SIP-4) configuration along with Marine Corps specific capabilities. The program?s emphasis is on commonality of components across Marine Corps like systems and the utilization of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf and Government-Off-the-Shelf components. The Program Office will provide two M9 ACEs as Government Furnished Equipment to a commercial vendor for integration, fabrication, and verification of the modernization kits. Marine Corps Logistics Command (MCLC), Maintenance Center, Albany will work directly with the kit vendor during the integration process and will subsequently be the designated vendor for the installation and final assembly of the 16 Modernized M9 ACEs. The Contractor shall fabricate 16 M9 ACE Modernization Kits and ship to MCLC, Albany, GA. The Contractor will be required to fabricate hulls. The Contractor shall provide technical support to MCLC, Al bany during the final systems assembly.
