Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a Time and Material task order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-07-G-0008 to the Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office to provide system level integration and engineering analysis in support of NAVAIR releasing an Airworthiness Authorization (Flight Clearance) for a V-22 aircraft modified with a Defensive Weapon System (DWS) for Test and Evaluation. Effort includes assessing the aircraft configuration to include the use of associated test instruments and cameras as required. The engineering analysis to be performed will address the following but not limited to: stress, dynamics, blast pressure, EMC/HERO, safety, human factors, electrical system, weight and balance, useful load, and operational envelope impacts to the V-22 aircraft. The estimated period of performance for this effort is six months from contract award. Bell-Boeing is the sole designer, developer and producer of the V-22 tiltrotor aircraft and is the only known source with the required technical expertise and data to meet the Government's needs.
