- Description
- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Research Triangle Park, NC 27709 intends to award a sole source purchase order to Nycom, Inc. Midlothian, VA, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the following Fisher Hamilton items: 1) #173S2320 Drawer Cabinet 18"x35", 4 each; 2) #136S4320 Combination Cabinet 24"X35", 3 each; 3) #137S4320 Combination Cabinet 24"x35", 2 each; 4) 146S5320 Combination Cabinet, 30"x35", 2 each; 5) #136S2320 Combination Cabinet 18"x35", 1 each; 6) #137S2320 Combination Cabinet 18"x35", 1 each; and 7) # 212S8320 Drawer Cabinet 48"x35", 1 each. Items are to have priority delivery in 3-4 weeks after receipt of order. Cabinets must be compatible with existing laboratory casework, fume hood and flammable cabinet. These units are to replace existing laboratory casework cabinets that have sustained water damage. These cabinets must be integrated back into existing laboratory casework design and space. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Contracting Specialist at the address stated above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received by 12:00 Noon on Thursday, 11/15/07 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within the time stated above in this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Nycom. The NAICS Code/Size is 339111/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
