- Description
- The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) has a requirement to provide support for the maintenance, service and further development of its existing CRIMSON clinical research data management system (CRDMS) software application. CRIMSON is a mature software system that utilizes Fourth Dimension front end architecture. It is served via Macintosh hardware partnered with a Sybase database back end running on Sun hardware. The required contractor support will be in the form of maintenance of the existing system, technical and training support for end users, and maintenance of user and system documentation. Additionally, software and/or hardware development services will be required to continue modernizing and enhancing the CRIMSON system to changing business requirements, technology drivers and federal regulations. The NIAID intends to award a one-year contract with four (4) one-year options beginning on or about February 1, 2008. This is not a request for proposals. This announcement notifies potential offerors that the request for proposals (RFP) will be available for download from the www.fedbizzopps.gov on or about November 9, 2007. Please refer to Numbered Note 1. No hard copies of the RFP will be distributed. All questions must be submitted to Ivan Hernandez at ihernandez@niaid.nih.gov.
