Description

This is a notice of intent, not a request for a proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. This NOI is not a small business set aside. This solicitation and its incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC)2001-08. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)Station Support/Simplified Acquisition (SSSAB)on behalf of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on sole source bases with University of California, Irvine, CA 92697. Ion Channel Voltage for neutron diffraction sensors and tarantula toxins that interact with these voltage sensors in the lipid membrane for experiments. The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition and is except from the requirements of FAR Part 13.5, for commercial items. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to complete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
