Description

This Notice replaces the one previously posted on November 14, 2007. The U.S. Coast Guard has a requirement to establish a maintenance parts and technical services program to support the SICS installed on the National Security Cutter (NSC). The major components of the system include the Integrated Bridge System (IBS), Machinery Control and Monitoring System (MCMS) and Steering System. This will be an Other Than Full and Open Competition Requirement using the SICS contract vendor. All labor shall be performed by the original equipment manufacturer certified and authorized machinists, mechanics and technicians. It has been determined that only Sperry Marine can furnish the desired services and parts for the NSC SICS and the only responsible source that can analyze all these components efficiently and expertly. This requirement will be a base year with two option years. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency.
