- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number FM309972680019 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) using FAR Subpart 13.1 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a "brand name or equal" requirement in accordance with (IAW) FAR provision 52.211-6 "Brand Name or Equal", (Aug 1999). CLIN 0001: Electric massage chair, Ultimate Human Touch P/N HW566BLK or equal. (Qty 2) In order for a response to be considered an equal product, it must possess these charecteristics: 1. Genuine leather (black). 2. Contain memory foam. 3. Include manual programming capability as well as several preprogrammed massage settings with an ability to self detect the individual in the chair. 4. Intensity settings for different individuals. 5. The massage areas must include foot, calf, leg (hamstring), hip, gluteal region, lumbar spine, thoracic spine, cervical spine, arms, latissimus dorsi region, rhomboid region, and trapezius region. 6. The foot and calf portion of the chair must have the ability to rotate and not be used in the event that an individual has a medical thrombosis problem in their lower leg 7. Include the ability to heat the seat back to improve the circulation and relaxation of spinal erector muscles. 8. Arm rests must include massage ability. 9. Ability to recline to an almost horizontal position. 10. Include a lighted remote that can control all functions and includes a timing function. Delivery on or before 30 Nov 07. Provide FOB Destination pricing This acquisition is 100% Small Business Set-Aside and is under North American Industry Classification System code 335211 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard.
