- Description
- The National Institute on Aging, IRP, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, NC 27104 for a project entitled ?Hispanic Aging Survey Feasibility Study?. Design and implement a plan for recruiting Americans of Latino Ancestry into a health survey similar in content to the present Healthy Aging in Neighborhoods of Diversity across the Life Span (HANDLS) study. Participants will be recruited into the study; initial assessments will be collected of over all health, psycho-social indicators of psychological support and stress, health behaviors, and physical performance indicators. Materials will be translated from English to Spanish (with back translations) for participants with limited English speaking abilities. Data will be compared with baseline HANDLS results.
