- Description
- The FAA is seeking Viking Sprinkler System approved installers to perform upgrades to the existing Viking Sprinkler System at the Seattle Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZSE-ARTCC) located in Auburn, Washington. This project modifies the existing Viking Firecycle fire suppression sprinkler systems that serve the Seattle ARTCC to comply with current Viking Firecycle installation criteria and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems. The Seattle Center is equipped with a total of four Firecycle II systems and three Firecycle-OH III systems. Contractor is to Install six additional monitoring points to each existing Firecycle system and add addressable fire alarm modules as required to monitor the six points for each of the seven systems. This results in 42 total monitoring modules. The existing ARTCC building fire alarm control panel must directly monitor the points of the Viking Fire Cycle systems. Prime contractors will be asked to provide Viking System certification and list projects of similar size and scope performed over the last 5-year period. The total contract duration for completion of all work is 90 calendar days. Prospective offerors must perform a site visit to assess the actual conditions before submitting a proposal. Details will be available in the solicitation. Requests for the solicitation package must be submitted in writing to Kevin O'Hara, ANM-53, 1601 Lind Ave., SW, Renton, WA 98057; or by fax at: (425) 227-1055. Solicitation packages will be available on or about November 21, 2007. Estimated Range of construction is $100,000 to $250,000.
