- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The United States Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) plans to award a sole-source purchase order, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, for the XSTREAM Quad MiniCluster Accelerator and the XF software module. REMCOM is the only known source that can provide the accelerator and software that will fulfill the Governments requirement, and does not have any distributors, who are authorized to sell this product in the United States. REMCOM is the sole provider of the propri etary XSTREAM Quad MiniCluster Accelerator and the XF software module for XSTREAM MiniCluster, which is to be used with the XFTD software. In order for proposals to be considered, any interested respondents must have a valid CAGE code, must be registered in the CCR, and must submit clear and convincing documentation of their capability within the time specified. All proposals should be recei ved by the contracting office by close of business (COB) 29 November 2007. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation for proposals; therefore, a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, restrict the Governments ultimate approach, or obligate the Governm ent to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
