- Description
- FISC Norfolk Philadelphia Division intends to solicit on a sole source pursuant to FAR 6-302-1 using commercial items acquisition procedures as defined under FAR part 12, and using Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR part 13.5 with ThermoNor of Norway for the continued development of a thermotube thermoregulatory device for the Naval Medical Submarine Research Center. The device will be used as a possible treatment plan to treat or prevent hypothermia. The device will undergo four phases as follows; Concept, Proof of concept, Definition and ultimately deliver one functional model for further testing. A firm fixed price negotiated contract is the expected result of this acquisition effort. The NACIS code for this effort is 541712. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only those sources listed above, under the authority of the Clinger Cohen act, interested medical repair facilities may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by email at the address listed above
