- Description
- The U.S. Marine Corps, Blount Island Command, is soliciting offers under Request for Quotation (RFQ) M67004-08-T-0028 for the Grit, Blast, and Paint of various International Standards Organization (ISO) steel containers. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, equipment and transportation necessary to grit, blast, and paint various quantities of 8' x 8' x 20' Dry End-Opening, 8.5' x 8' x 20' Dry End-Opening and 4.25' x 8' x 20' Open-Top with Drop Door containers. The contractor shall perform these duties in accordance with the performance work statement. Maximum quantity of containers will not exceed 208 per year (various container sizes). The contractor will be required to transport the containers from the Naval Weapons Station (NWS), Charleston, SC to their plant for refurbishment and return the containers to NWS Charleston. The area of consideration is limited to facilities with a 300-mile radius of Charleston, South Carolina. The base period of performance will begin January 2008 through 30 September 2008, plus four-one year option periods. This action will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and awarded under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. RFQ M67004-08-T-0028 will be available on or about 7 December 2007 on the NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil) website. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 332813 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. To be eligible for award offerors must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov).
