- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, National Acquisitions Section, intends to issue a solicitation for 9mm standard weapons for basic Correctional Officer Training and Correctional Officer duties that require the issuance of a sidearm. The Contractor shall provide 9mm standard weapons to various BOP locations throughout the United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico on an as needed basis. This solicitation will result in a single award, indefinite delivery, requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The term of the contract will include a one year base period and four one year option periods. The estimated quantities for the base year period and each subsequent option year period are 350 standard pistols each year. The Base Year period will be from date of award through 12 months; Option Year One period shall be from 13 months through 24 months; Option Year Two period shall be from 25 months through 36 months; Option Year Three period shall be from 37 months through 48 months; and Option Year Four period shall be from 49 months through 60 months. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestrictive basis. The solicitation will be available on or about November 19, 2007, and will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The FBO web site provides downloading instructions. Hard copies of the solicitation document will NOT be available. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone requests or written requests for solicitation will be accepted. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the FBOP must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database at www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes will be on or about December 10, 2007. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. Faith-Based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
