- PR Number(s): FD20300870700 Item: 0001 NSN: 6150012002172PN LEAD ASSEMBLY,ELECT P/N: 301-778-403-0, Description: THE LEAD ASSEMBLY, METAL CONSIST OF A THERMOCOUPLE WIRING HARNESS WITH THREE THERMOCOUPLE PROBES ATTACHED TO THE LEAD ASSEMBLY, THESE PROBES ARE CONNECTED IN PARELLEL IN AN INTERMEDIATE JUNCTION BOX. THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTON BETWEEN THE THERMOCOUPLES ARE FORMED BY CHROMEL AND ALUMEL WIRES RUNNING INSIDE A RIGID METAL TUBE AND INSULATED BY COMPACTED MAGNESIA. THE FUNCTION OF THE LERAD ASSEMBLY IS THAT THE THERMOCOUPLES MEASURE LOW PRESSURE TURBINE EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE, AVERAGES THE READINGS AND THE TTANSMITS THEM TO THE PILOT. THE DIMENSIONS OF THE LEAD ASSEMBLY ARE APPOXIMATELY 4 FOOT IN LENGTH AND WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 1.3 POUNDS. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
