- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the request for quote for the required item under RFQ N00189-08-T-0063. A subsequent solicitation document will not be issued. FISC Norfolk intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following item(s): (1) One Year Outdoor Range Contract as per the following specifications: To meet demanding combat shooting training and sustain U.S. Navy shooting requirements, a dedicated local training range is necessary to meet requirements set forth in Naval Instruction. The facility needs to be within the Tidewater area of Virginia and within driving range of NABLCREEK. The facility has to meet all U.S. Navy range certifications to include firing positions at the 25, 50, 100, 200 and 300 yard ranges. Specifically, the range needs to provide group rights for all ranges or bays available at any requested pre-scheduled date or dates as the command may require, Monday through Saturday from 0900 to 1200 hours. The contractor must provide two (2) each Steel falling plate racks and Three (3) each steel human sized silhouette targets. Included, is a reactive steel target system for speed and accuracy drills to enhance real world combat shooting requirements. The command will be required to supply their own ammunition, weapons, targets, backboards and shall clean area of usage, police, police all brass, pick up any debris, place all empty cases and trash in the proper receptacles provided by the contractor. The length of service is One year from date of contract. Delivery will be 4 weeks after the receipt of order, FOB: Point Destination to Norfolk, VA 23511.
