Description
This is a market survey to locate additional sources for depot level repair and testing for the components of the AN/PSC-5, AN/PSC-5B and AN/PSC-5C Radio Sets. The AN/PSC-5 is a tactical manpack communications terminal. It has embedded COMSEC, prov ides DAMA capability, and is capable of UHF satellite and LOS modes of operation. The terminal operates in the 30 to 400 megahertz frequency range and provides both data and voice communications. The AN/PSC-5B version was designed for and is acquired to meet FMS requirements. The AN/PSC-5C version provides all of the capabilities of the AN/PSC-5, with additional capabilities to include an extended frequency range to 420 MHz, Have Quick, SINCGARS frequency hopping, and maritime operational capabilities. The following components of the AN/PSC-5, AN/PSC-5B and AN/PSC-5C Radio Sets are candidates for depot level repair: NSN 5895-01-410-7442, Controller Module; NSN 5895-01-410-7440, TX Driver Module; NSN 5895-01-410-7441, Transmitter Module; NSN 5895-01-399-5 282, Modem Module; NSN 5895-01-410-7447, Front Panel Assembly; NSN 5895-01-399-5283, COMSEC Module; NSN 5998-01-446-5213, Power Regulator CCA; NSN 5895-01-410-7439, RF/IF Module; NSN 5895-01-410-7443, Synthesizer Module; NSN 5810-01-497-6613, Enhance COMSE C Module; NSN 5895-01-498-2524, Enhance Controller Module; NSN 5895-01-497-5970, Second Generation Modem; NSN 5998-01-500-3403, Controller Module-B Version; NSN 5820-01-366-4121, Receiver-Transmitter (RT-1672/U(C)); NSN 5820-01-483-0565, Receiver-Transmitt er (RT-1672B/U(C)); NSN 5820-01-483-0566, Receiver-Transmitter (RT-1672C/U(C)); NSN 5820-01-509-9027, Enhance Transmitter Module; NSN 5895-01-500-3402, Enhance Synthesizer Module; NSN 5895-01-541-6805, Upgraded Enhance Controller Module. The following com ponents, which are removed from AN/PSC-5 Receiver-Transmitters (RTs) as a result of the upgrade to AN/PSC-5C may/will require testing: NSN 5895-01-399-5282, Modem Module; NSN 5895-01-410-7442, Controller Module; NSN 5895-01-399-5283, COMSEC Module. The cu rrent source for depot level repair and testing of these components is Raytheon Company, CAGE Code 37695. The components identified above are only defined by Raytheon's part numbers and National Stock Numbers. Technical data package such as engineering d rawings, acceptance test procedures, and repair documentation, which are all required to establish depot repair capability, are NOT AVAILABLE from the Army. Suppliers capable of providing this service must so indicate in writing to: Commander, U.S. ARMY C -E LCMC, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-COM-T-TM (Stanley Chan), Building 1202W, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5023. Response via electronic media using Microsoft Office 2000 products (i.e., Microsoft Word and Excel), and Adobe Acrobat (Portable Document Format) is acceptable and preferable. The response MUST include documentation such as test results, depot maintenance repair procedures for the mentioned components, and copy of purchasing order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed sourc e demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, successfully provide this service. Successful supplier will be required to warrant that the items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Department of Defense and be d elivered on time. The result of this market survey will be used for the future acquisition.
