Description
The 853d Electronic Systems Group (853 ELSG), 641st Electronic Systems Squadron (641 ELSS), Landing Systems Program Office will host a Deployable Instrument Landing System (D-ILS) Industry Day at the MITRE Building Complex, Bedford, MA, on 13 December 2007. 1. CONFERENCE: The RFI Industry Day will take place on 13 December 2007 starting at 8:30 AM (EST) at Hanscom AFB's off-base MITRE Campus (Building C, Room 1C232), 202 Burlington Road (Rt 62), Bedford, MA 01730-1420. The Industry Day is a follow-up to the non-solicitation Request For Information (RFI) posted in Sep 2007 by ESC regarding Government market research effort to determine industry capabilities to develop and produce a D-ILS beginning in FY08, with procurement of up to 20 systems in FY10. Please ensure that your representatives are in the MITRE facility NLT 08:00 AM. The conference will be unclassified. Visitors must use the MITRE Building C Visitor Entrance. Agenda/ meeting schedule/maps will be provided after 6 December 2007. Interested attendees must submit the names of individuals attending no later than close of business 6 December 2007. A list of attendees will be provided to the MITRE Building C Visitor Entrance Security Desk. Your response should include: 1 ) who will attend (each person's name & company - we are limiting the number of attendees to 2 per company); and 2) if you would like to meet with the Government team. 20-minute periods for one-on-one meetings between Government and Industry attendees will be scheduled. Attendees are encouraged to actively engage in dialog in the hopes of better understanding and defining potential mutual areas of interest. This is an opportunity to exchange ideas, concepts and possible solutions for a D-ILS in a collaborative government/industry forum. OPEN BRIEFING: The 641st ELSS will present a briefing to all registrants regarding the D-ILS acquisition effort. The briefing will start promptly at 8:30 AM, 13 December 2007. The briefing will last approximately 60 minutes. Questions and clarifications raised during the conference will be recorded and written answers will be published on the Hanscom AFB HERBB website, http://www.herbb.hanscom.af.mil. 3. ONE-ON-ONE MEETINGS: The 30-minute one-on-one meetings will afford an opportunity for attendees to individually meet with the collective Government team to discuss concerns, issues, directions and future activities for D-ILS. We acknowledge that both Government and industry attendees may have limitations on the depth/scope to which some topics can be discussed. 4. QUESTIONS: All questions should be directed to the Program Manager, Lt Col Scott Reed, 641 ELSS/DD THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The Government will not reimburse attendees for any costs associated with this announcement or attendance at the RFI Industry Day. No submittals will be returned to senders.
