Description
Questions and Answers to Sources Sought 52-2008-NA28538 - Protective Clothing and Equipment 1. Would it be possible to do this job in a sole source SDV or HZ? This is just a sources sought to determine the type and status of potential offerors in the market place. It may not result in any solicitation. If a solicitation, we will be following the requirements of Far Part 19 Small Business Programs 2. I see that there is a max ordering capacity for individual. I am trying to figure out the approximate total value of the contract. No set requirements have been determined. The posting was a sources sought requesting a Statement of Capabilities for performing market research. We are also asking for comments to a potential draft performance work statement to assist in refining our requirements and if this capability currently exists in the market place. 3. We are familiar with protective clothing but are not a mfg of the clothing. We would be stocking and direct shipping the product from different Mfg. Is this what you had in mind? This is a sources sought requesting a Statement of Capabilities as market research. Your Statement of Capabilities should describe if you can meet the requirements of the performance work statement and provide a commodity that meets our requirement. It should also state how you meet the ???Buy American??? and small business requirements as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulation. 4. In 2.2 of the Performance Work Statement you mention the Gov specifying the type of clothing required. Will the Mfg. also be revealed? This is a sources sought requesting a Statement of Capabilities as market research. It will be responsibility of the vendor to tell the Government if they can meet the requirements of contained in the Performance Work Statement. The Vendor is also responsible to inform the Government if they can meet the requirement based on the salient characteristics the Government has provided. 5. In item 3.1.1 indicates shipping next day and 3.1.2 indicates shipping in three weeks. Upon receipt of the contract will you indicate the item required to stock? This is a sources sought requesting a Statement of Capabilities as market research. Please provide comments to the Draft Performance Work Statement in your response. We will take into account all comments and make corrections prior to actual posting of the requirement. 6. As the contractor who provides the clothing, we feel that it is necessary to follow up and assure that the customer is satisfied with both the product and the service. Will there be any means to be re-reimbursed for expenses including travel expenses and labor to visit the customer and assure that they are satisfied with the service? This is a sources sought requesting a Statement of Capabilities as market research. Your response to the Sources Sought should explain your capabilities and business practices in general. 7. I just receied notice of the bid opportunity for protective clothing and equipment on the Onvia Guide. Writing to see if I can get a copy of the bid. This is a sources sought requesting a Statement of Capabilities as market research. This was not a proposal for bid. No solicitation has been issued.
