Description
This requirement is for Enhanced Third Generation Aviator's Night Vision Imaging Systems (ANVIS) and associated spare parts. The AN/AVS-6(V)1A and AN/AVS-6(V)3 are image intensification devices designed for use with the HGU-56/P aviation helmet in m ilitary rotary-wing and fixed wing aircraft. Each AN/AVS-6(V)1A system utilizes two MX-10160A/AVS-6 configuration image intensifier tubes. Each AN/AVS-6(V)3 system utilizes two MX-10160C/AVS-6 configuration image intensifier tubes. The U.S. Army Researc h, Development, Engineering Command Acquisition Center intends to issue DRAFT Request for Proposal W91CRB-08-R-0017 on or about 10 December 2007 for Aviator's Night Vision Imaging Systems (ANVIS) and related spare parts; prospective offerors may review and comment on the Draft RFP. It is the governments intention to award a single contract as a result of this solicitation. Award will be made to the best value proposal, which is determined to be the most beneficial to the Government based upon the criteri a set forth in the solicitation. The resultant contract will be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity five year fixed-price contract. The proposal shall be submitted in hard copy and electronic format on compact disk (CD) as stated in the solicitati on. The official release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on the Internet at the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) web site located at the following address: https://acquisition.army.mil. The on-line version of the RFP will include all documents of the solicitation package. Amendments (if any) will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including amendments, should be received and reviewed prior to submitting a response. It is the respon sibility of those responding to the solicitation to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents. It is anticipated that the FINAL Request for Proposal will be issued on or about 21 December 2007.
