- 8. (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitati on; pr oposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government is soliciting and negotiating with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The name of the company the Government intends to award a contract to is Lewcott Co rporation, 86 Providence St., Millbury, MA 01527-3922. (iii) The solicitation number is W911QX -07-R-0023. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received prior to the closing date and time of this solicitation. (iv) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 1-28. (v) The associated NAICS code is 313210. (v) The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and items, quanti ties and units of measure: This Special Notice is a notification of increased quantities required under solicitation W911QX-07-R-0023. Quantities in linear yards TOTAL QUANTITY REQUIRED DESCRIPTION 1195 ly LC799-OG-K705 56.5 inch Kevlar 3617 ly PSR133-WR2455 50 inch Kevlar 2854 ly LC799-OG-K745 50 inch Kevlar (vi) Description of requirements: The above item is manufactured by Lewcott Corporation, 86 Providence St., Millbury, MA 01527-3922 and is being solicited on a Sole Source basis. Delivery is required within 8 weeks after receipt of order. Delivery sha ll be made to U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Shipping and Receiving, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Building 434 APG MD 21005-5001. Acceptance shall be performed at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Shipping and Receiving, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Building 43 4 APG MD 21005-5001. The FOB point is Destination. (vii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following addenda have been attached to this provision: NONE. (viii) Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications -Commercial Items, with its offer. (ix) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract T erms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following addenda have been attached to this clause NONE. (x) The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial I tems and DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
