- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey, National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL), has a requirement for 10,000 Isolute C18 extraction columns. The minimum requirements are: 500mg, 3ml, 2/stainless steel frits, packaged 50 columns per box. The extraction columns shall be from a single batch. Isolute C-18 columns have been tested by the NWQL Methods Research & Development Program and in use at the NWQL for the determination of pesticides in more than 50,000 water samples since the inception of the National Water Quality Assessment (NAWQA) program in 1992. Comparability of data over the history of the NAWQA program is crucial, and the use of alternate extraction columns could result in changes in the recovery of pesticides that may incur undesirable shifts in the data that are provided to the national NAWQA database. Such data changes could alter the interpretation of pesticide data by NAWQA project chiefs and other agencies, such as the Environmental Protection Agency, that use the NAWQA data. The U.S. Geological Survey considers this specified requirement as a sole source to Biotage Inc., 1725 Discovery Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22911. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these services at the same cost may submit a capabilities statement to the contracting officer USGS, PO Box 25046 Denver Federal Center, Denver, CO 8025-0046 no later than the closing date of this requirement (11/23/2007) 4:00 PM MST. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist; if no submissions are received by the above appointed time, the Government will proceed with noncompetitive award without further notice. This is NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ); the Government does not anticipate issuing a written solicitation. This notice and any resulting contract or order conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-21, effective 07 November 2007. No numbered notes apply.
