Description
This procurement is a Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible Small Business Concerns may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the U.S. Coast Guard. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about December 20, 2007, at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Please sign up for the Auto Notification Service to receive e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. THIS COMMERCIAL ITEM REQUIREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS AND WILL BE EVALUATED USING PAST PERFORMANCE AS THE MOST IMPORTANT EVALUATION FACTOR. The USCGC TIGER SHARK (WPB-87359) homeport is 47 Chandler Street, Naval Station Newport, RI. The place of performance will be at the contractor?s facility. The place of performance for this vessel is restricted to 540 nautical miles from Newport, RI. The USCGC TIGER SHARK?s availability schedule is for Forty-Two (42) calendar days, starting on or about April 7, 2008. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary for drydock repairs to USCGC TIGER SHARK (WPB-87359). The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, cleaning and repairing of various items aboard the USCGC TIGER SHARK (WPB-87359). This work will include, but is not limited to: Welding Repairs; Inspect Oily Water Tank; Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Tanks; Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts; Realign Main Engine/Reduction Gear; Repair Shaft; Straighten Shaft; Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings; Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propellers; Perform Minor Repair and Recondition of Propeller; Remove and Reinstall Transducer and Preserve Transducer Hull Ring; Overhaul and Renew Valves; Overhaul Simplex Sea Strainers; Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder Assemblies; Preserve Main Deck Surfaces; Preserve RHIB Wet Notch Deck and Stern Door Interior Surfaces; Preserve Underwater body; Renew Cathodic Protection System; Inspect Transducer Fairing; Routine DryDocking; Provide Temporary Logistics; Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements; Disassemble, Inspect, and Realign MDE and SSDG Exhaust System; Renew Main Diesel Exhaust Concentric Rings; Install AFFF Bilge Sprinkler System; Install A/C Rupture Disk Overboard Vent Line; Install Galley and Messdeck Bilge Access Covers; Provide Man-Lift Access.
