Description

Proposed Solicitation No.: VA-69D-08-RP-0106 Opening and Closing Response Date: Not Established Description: Contractor to provide labor, material, equipment and engineering for Project 676-07-114ES, Replace Engineering Control Systems in B406 and B424 at the VA Medical Center, Tomah, WI . Subject project is to replace current Johnson Controls DSC 8500 controllers with the latest generation Johnson Controls METASYS controllers. Contractor will work with the AE IDIQ plans and schedules to determine where and how the new METASYS will be distributed and must be compatible with the existing Johnson Controls. Distribution will require wiring into existing air handling units, exhaust fans, relief fans, chiller loops, heating loops, heat exchangers, etc into the new METASYS controller. More critical to the project is the ability to program the new controllers so they can communicate, over the fiber backbone, with the campus-2ide METASYS engineering control system including the Network Computer in Bldg 400 and the operator work stations in the M&R Shop. The new controllers are to be installed in the existing conduit cabinets and will be reusing the conduit as a matter of saving Government funds. As a result of decreased manning he VA intends to make a sole source award to Johnson Control Systems which will result in standardization of resources, equipment and inventory needs.
