Description

The 48th Contracting Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, UK intends to award on a sole source basis the following requirement: Item 0001 NSN: 1680-01-538-0545 CARGO POD, P/N: 402136-3. Description: MXU Cargo/Travel Pod; MFG: Sargent Fletcher. Qty: thirty-six (36) EA. Applicable to: AV-8B. Destn: Yuma, AZ; Cherry Point, NC; China Lake, CA. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). To: Sargent Fletcher, El Monte, CA 91731-2909. Justification: Supplies required shall meet the specifications for certification in accordance with Naval Technical Order A1-AV8BB-LWS-460, Change 2, Conventional Weapons, Checklist AV-8B, Fuel Tanks/Stores. Supplies are available form only one source and no other type of supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source und the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
