Description

Original Synopsis issued on August 31, 2007 is amended as follows: The Army is responsible for providing best armor protection to our Soldiers at the lowest possible weight currently available. This requirement will be competed on a full and open competitive basis to procure a minimum of 500 sets and a maximum of 966,000 Improved Outer Tactical Vests (IOTV) and a minimum of 500 Deltoid Axillary Protector (DAPS) and a maximum of 253,000 each under Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity contract(s). The contract term may be up to 60 months and will inclu de quantities for sustainment. The Government reserves the right to award multiple contracts. Should multiple contracts be awarded, the maximum quantity may be revised depending on the number of contracts awarded. Award(s) will be made to the best value proposal, which is determined to be the most beneficial to the Government based on the criteria set forth in the solicitation. The official release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on the internet at the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) web site located at the following address: https//acquisition.army.mil. The on-line version of the RFP includes all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of this RFP will be issued. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including amendments should be received and reviewed prior to submittin g a response. The proposal will be submitted in hard copy form only. Electronic submission of proposals will be accepted at the address listed in Section L of the solicitation. It is the responsibility of those responding to the solicitation to obtain al l amendments and/or other applicable documents. The release of this solicitation will be issued approximately 30 November 2007. Questions relating to this effort should be held until the solicitation is made available to the public and shall be submitted in writing and emailed to the following address: mitzi.wall@us.army.mil.
