Description

The National Park Service is issuing a solicitation for combination Firm Fixed Price Lump Sum (FFPLS) and Indefinite Quantity (IQ) Contract to provide Maintenance Sercices and Repairs for the emergency generator on Liberty Island. The FFPLS portion of the contract will provide service maintenance requirement work to be performed in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications for the Cummins Generator KW1200, model # 684FDR7414JJW, serial # 3252211 and Cummins engine model # KTA 50 G2, serial # 33130033. The contractor shall complete one preventive maintenance service per year, three quarterly site inspections per year, in accordance with the specification, and provide a written report within 10 days of the site visits. The contractor shall provide the National Park Service (NPS) with the Operation and Maintenance Manual for Cummins Generator KW1200, model # 684FDR7414JJW. The IQ portion of the contract will provide for maintenane and repairs in excess of the scope of the FFPLS portion of the contract by issuance of post award Task Orders in accordance with the specifications. The solicitation, including the specifications, will be posted to the websites, http://www.fedbizops.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about 18 Dec, 2007. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued directly from the contracting office. TELEPHONE, EMAIL OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE RECOGNIZED OR HONORED BY THE GOVERNMENT. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system in order to receive contract award. As a security precaution, vendors must register themselves through the on-line CCR system. The period of performance for this combination fixed price and indefinite quantity type contract will be a base period from 1 April 2008 through September 30, 2008 with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods. To gain a full understanding of the requirement, interested contractors are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit to view the location where the work will be performed. A formal site visit for this solicitation is scheduled for Tuesday, 8 January, 2008 at 10:00 AM, local time at Ellis Island. Each contractor may send up to three (3) attendees to represent their company at the site visit. Interested contractors must provide the following individual personal information for all who are proposed to attend the site visit: full name, home address, date of birth, sex, race, height, weight, eye color, hair color, and social security number. The individual personal information will be used by the Government to perform security related background investigations on all personnel proposed to attend the site visit. Subsequent individual approval or disapproval of proposed site visit attendees will be determined by the Government.
