- Description
- The U.S. Department of Energy, Oak Ridge Office (DOE-ORO) intends to award a purchase order to Dr. Bruce Seidner; Simplified Acquisitions Procedures under FAR Part 13 will be used. DOE-ORO, Access Authorization Branch has a requirement for psychiatric services in connection with personnel security adjudication processes. The evaluations will be for security clearance applicants to determine if there exists a defect in an individual???s judgement or reliability due to drug or alcohol problems, or mental/emotional problems. Services may include conducting drug screening. A written report/assessment will be due upon completion of the evaluation. May also be asked to testify as an expert witness at hearings. Period of Performance will be from December 17, 2007 through December 31, 2008. Firms who want to challenge the sole-source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm???s ability to provide an equivalent service and rationale as to why they should be considered, as described above. All interested firms must respond by 2:00 PM (EST), December 14, 2007, to Carol Jennings, AD-424, U.S. Department of Energy, 200 Administration Rd., Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Email: jenningscs@oro.doe.gov A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No reimbursement for any costs connected with providing the capability information will be provided by DOE
