- It is the Governments intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract for the requirements definition, product development and demonstration of an Ultra Wideband (UWB) enabled precision limited visibility landing system (LVLS) for aviation technology ne eds. The frequency of operation for the UWB LVLS is required to be within the 3.1 to 10.6 Gigahertz (GHz) band, and should be capable of assisting rotary wing aircrews with landing on both improved and unimproved surfaces. Prior experience with electromag netic compatibility tests of UWB systems with US Army aviation assets such as the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior is desirable. The proposed period of performance is from 31 May 2008 through 31 May 2009.
