Description
This is a sources sought notice for information and acquisition planning purposes. This is not a Request for Proposal and a formal solicitation is not available at this time. Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is seeking vendors that can provide rentals of pier side diesel generators. The pier side diesel generator is intended to provide a second source of electrical power for US Naval submarines while in port at the Naval Submarine Base Point Loma, CA, to assure uninterrupted electrical power for reactor monitoring and control functions when the ship's diesel generator is inoperable. Feature required: 1) 1000kw, 440vac, 60hz, 3 phase. 2) Capable of load sharing. 3) 100' of bare ended cable with 5/8" lugs. 4) 1250-gallon on-board fuel cell. 5) Remote auto-start control and safety systems. Vendor is required to do cable connections from generator to the receptacle stand. SWRMC is contemplating a basic ordering agreement. The applicable NAICS code is 53249 0 Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing. Interested vendors should submit a capabilities statement (not to exceed five pages) that demonstrates their capability to provide the pier side diesel generator rentals as described herein. The capabilities statement shall include company name, address, business size status (small, small disadvantaged, women-owned, HUBZone, veteran-owned, or service-disabled veteran-owned), and point of contact (POC) information for the interested firm. The capabilities statement should identify, by contract number, past or current contracts and/or subcontracts that were awarded to your firm, period of performance, contract type, contract amount, contract description, and a customer POC.
