PR Number(s): FD20300870753 Item: 0001 NSN: 2840015453269NZNZ NOZZLE, TURBINE 3rd STAGE FTIT VANE P/N: 4088323, Description: Nozzle, Turbine, 3rd Stage FTIT Vane Size/Dimensions: Length approx. 4.48" Width approx: 2.5" Fit/Form/Function: 1. Directs air gases to turbine blades which converts the energy from hot gases to drive the Inlet Fan. 2. Specially constructed vane that is designed to allow FTIT probes to pass through it to measure temperature in turbine. 3. There are 7 of these vanes that make the assembly. Predominant Material: Material Spec PWA 1426 (Nickel Alloy) Criticality Code Justification AGAV Total Line Item Qty Range: Range A - 127 each through 508 each & Range B - 509 each through 762 Delivery: To begin on 30 JAN 2009 at a rate of 145.00 ea per month. Destination: FB2039, Tinker AFB, OK, 73145-9013. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 27 December 2007. The anticipated award date will be 28 January 2008. The solicitation will be available for download on the release date from www.fedbizops.gov. No telephone requests. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be sent from this office. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. AWARD WILL NOT BE WITHHELD AWAITING QUALIFICATION. Potential sources are not to utilize intellectual property of third parties without appropriate authorization of the intellectual property owner. Potential sources are cautioned that no part of the government property qualification requirement is intended to endorse or encourage the improper use of intellectual property developed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer or any other third party. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. If an offeror's SAR package is approved, and since a first article will be required, the solicitation will be amended to include first article line items and clauses. NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from the offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose for the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program manager or the contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendation to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
