- Description
- CERDEC Fort Monmouth is seeking interested sources to provide an active Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) Capability using a directable laser based solution for US Army rotorcraft platforms. The proposed IRCM system solution shall interface directly w ith the AAR-57 Common Missile Warning Systems and have full spherical coverage (unobstructed) when installed on rotorcraft platforms. The proposed IRCM system solution shall be required to meet or exceed the current AEC-94-001 Rev C, system specificatio n. The IRCM System solution will provide countermeasures capability to defeat all known IR type missiles engagements. The system will work in conjunction with AAR-57 not as an autonomous system. The IRCM system processor and its respective high level la nguage operational software will support all the mechanical/electrical/software interfaces to the legacy AN/APR-57 CMWS and it respective variants. Coordinated/Integrated system solution interfaces include, but are not limited to the following: cuing of IRCM system for missile handoff /declaration, approximate Angle of Arrival. tracking, dispenser interface for control of munitions, Ethernet, Hotlink, RS-422 & MIL-STD-1553 Databus communications, blanking/blinking, data recording, navigational informatio n and rapid/flight line reprogramming capability and current DCDU power up and self test initiation/reporting. Potential sources must be able to clearly demonstrate how their proposed IRCM system solution will meet AEC-94 performance requirements when ope rating in conjunction with the AN/AAR-57, and verify system interface conformance. The sources will clearly outline the technical approach (hardware/software solution) to meet overall performance specification within a 16 months period of performance usin g minimal USG technical oversight and test equipment. The offerors shall also clearly show they posses the Software/Hardware Engineering Development/Production Facilities, cleared up to the secret level, including IR Hardware in-the-Loop (HITL), Software/ Hardware Simulation/Emulation Environment and Other Modeling and Simulation Capability required to demonstrate USG requirement conformance. Interested sources should respond to this office by 11 Jan 08. Point of contact for this is John Reilly (732) 427-2 917 or Rich Gifford 732-532-5691.
