- Description
- The Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center intends to issue a purchase order to Advanced Door Service Incorporated for maintenance of the automatic entrance doors located at the Philadelphia Veterans Medical Center, 3900 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104. The door system consists of one Blasi two-wing revolver door and four Horton single swinger doors (total of five operators), with power packs, sensors and overhead lights. Required services include: providing two preventative maintenance calls per year per operator; providing labor and materials to maintain equipment in good operating condition; maintaining a dispatch center available to take emergency service requests from PVAMC from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday; responding to emergency service calls within twenty-four hours of notification; and responding to emergency service calls involving a security issue or severe condition within three hours of notification. The applicable NAICS is 561790. The PVAMC has identified Advanced Door Service Incorporated, P.O. Box 861, Lansdale, PA 19446 as the sole source capable of providing the required services and intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1, only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by contacting the contracting Officer, Elizabeth Youse, at Elizabeth.Youse@va.gov by December 26, 2007. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
