Description
The Navy intends to procure on a sole source basis, 10 each AMT Microwave Radio Terminals, P/N M08SSI-051C-NN0-HEV1, 8 each Proteus AMT-L Software Keys, P/N 4400013-050, 17 each High Performance Integrated Antenna, P/N 9901062-00, 6 each Eltek Charger, P/N 9900966-18, and ancillaries from Microwave Networks, Inc. 4000 Greenbriar Rd. Stafford, TX 77277, to support requirements from Special Communications Requirements Division. The requested equipment needs to be interoperable with an existing fielded RF network containing the Microwave Network system. Additionally it is the only equipment capable of operating at the objective sustained data rate of 50 Mbps and be able to accept Ethernet data, serial data or a combination of the two. The RF link carries critical interbase communications so a fully redundant/hot standby configuration is required to eliminate a single point of failure. The terrestrial radio system must be able to easily change frequencies to meet host nation requirements, change channel bandwidths to allow more channels within a given frequency spectrum and change modulation to improve efficiency within a particular RF channel. The ancillaries consist of cabling, connectors, antennas and related equipment that will be incorporated into the radio terminal configuration. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, responsible interested parties may submit a proposal in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by 20 December 2007, 1530 EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any information received. Facsimile proposals are acceptable. No telephone responses will be accepted. For information contact Patricia Rivenbark, Code 2.5.1.2.2.6, Telephone (301) 995-8554, Fax (301) 995-8545 or via e-mail: particia.rivenbark@navy.mil. *****
