- REVISION TO:PRE-SOLICITATION CONFERENCE-PATIENT TRANSPORT VEHICLES The Government has a requirement for the following:Three (3) custom patient evacuation vehicles that will be used to transport wounded warriors within the National Capital Region.A primary mission of this project is to provide safe, reliable and comfortable handling and transport of mass casualty ambulatory and critical care patients, including support staff and critical care air transport medical teams. The patient evacuation vehicles will be approximately 40' long and must be configured with a heavy duty truck cab chassis equipped with full air ride suspension, a custom manufactured body, integrated patient litter pallet system, ambulatory seating provisions, interior finish suitable for a clinical setting, electrical power systems, systems and minimal clinical.The primary purpose of this pre-solicitation conference is to explain the government's needs and expectations, the applicable defense priority rating and the ensuing procurement activities to come. The government is seeking to ensure industry has a good understanding of the government?s upcoming and critical need for these vehicles in order to deliver the necessary vehicles that will transport American warriors. The Army and GSA will host a pre-solicitation conference; on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 10:30 AM to 13:30 PM, Eastern Time. The location is listed below: Walter Reed Army Medical Center 6900 Georgia Avenue, Building 2 Joel Autorium Washington, DC 20307 Any exchange of information shall be consistent with procurement integrity requirements.Interested parties may include offerors, end users, government acquisition, and supporting personnel,and others involved in the conduct or outcome of the acquisition. The Government will not accept offers at the pre-solicitation conference. The Government will not reimburse for travel cost incurred to attend the conference. All acquisitions are publicly disclosed on the federal business opportunities website at: www.fedbizopps.gov Interested parties shall send an email to the point of contact by July 10, 2007, to confirm attendance, get additional information, or to be added to the mailing list for any upcoming acquisition.
