- Description
- The U.S. Forest Service is conducting Market Research to ascertain the industry capability and availability of Vendors to perform training records/documentation inspection and validation services. Services may include, but are not necessarily limited to the following; -1) Inspection of training records/documentation for individual wildland firefighters submitted to the Vendor by Private Sector companies who employ wildland firefighters, -2) Validation that submitted training records/documentation complies with requirements as defined by the Government and that this documentation is complete, consistent, and commensurate with the incident position/qualification held by the firefighter, -3) Comparison of submitted training records/documentation with firefighter contractor association maintained databases to verify firefighter position/qualification consistency with contractor association maintained system of record, -4) Verification of the results of the inspection (i.e., Pass/Fail) of firefighter training records/documentation through the Government's identified system of record, -5) Monthly reports to the Agency which identify any/all firefighter records that have been inspected and validated during the previous month, -6) Maintain electronic data storage of all records submitted for inspection and validation, the results of these inspections, via an electronic format to be identified by the Government (i.e., Microsoft Excel). -7) At the discretion/direction of the Government, the vendor may be required to perform on-site physical inspection of individual firefighter training records documentation maintained at the location of the firefighter's employer, in conjunction with a Government representative. All documentation and any electronic data generated and maintained by the Vendor will remain the property of the Government, will be made available for inspection at any time, and will be surrendered to the Government upon conclusion/termination of any anticipated, resultant contract. The Government intends to obtain training record inspection and validation services only. The Government DOES NOT intend to solicit for, nor procure any sort of commercially available software application, design and/or development of any information technology, computer software, or electronic system of any kind. This announcement is an attempt to gather market information only. This IS NOT a request for, nor invitation to submit offers, bids, or proposals, therefore, none will be accepted or considered at this time.
