Description

Provide all necessary architectural and engineering services required to prepare complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates, including services throughout construction for Project No. 626A4--103, Electrical Upgrades for Safety, Reliability and Compliance at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, Alvin C. York VA Medical Center, 3400 Lebanon Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. Work includes architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, and industrial hygiene. Work involves upgrade of electrical system to bring the facility into compliance with NFPA, Chapter 70, NEC codes. Design shall divid construction into 2 projects (Phase 1 project and Phase 2 project) with 2 separate sets of bid documents for 2 separate bids. Construction cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Area of consideration is limited to a 500 mile radius of the VA Medical Center, Nashville, TN. The NAICS code is 541330 and the size standard is $4.5 million. A/E selection criteria will include: 1) Professional qualifications necessary for performance of required services; 2) specialized experience and technical competence of the A/E firm with similar type projects; 3) past performance on contracts with Government agencies; 4) Location of A/E firm; 5) experience and roles of key design personnel, specifically on related projects; 6) cost control and estimating effectiveness. Contract award is subject to availability of funds. This is not a request for proposal. Firms desiring consideration must submit two copies of SF 330 not later than 4:30 p.m. CST on January 11, 2008.
